Tikal Sunbound · Player guide
An online fantasy RPG built for discovery
Follow connected stories through Yaxalún, develop your character and prepare for the next expedition. Tikal Sunbound brings exploration, combat and crafting into a shared 3D fantasy world.

Connected quests, choices and puzzles
Meet the people of Yaxalún and follow stories across forests, settlements and underground spaces. Quests bring together combat, gathering, crafted offerings and puzzles. The adventure journal keeps the current chapter and its requirements close at hand.
Some stories offer different outcomes. Read the dialogue and clues before choosing, then use your journal to find the next step. Completing a journey can point you toward another story.
Four callings and character growth
Choose Jaguar Knight, Eagle Paladin, Sky Sorcerer or Jade Druid. Your calling shapes your combat role, while equipment, learned techniques and training develop your adventurer over time. Melee, distance, magic and guard are distinct combat proficiencies.
Your vocation is a permanent character choice. Read the class guide before confirming it. Character growth includes calling paths as well as health, mana and equipment bonuses.
Combat and preparation
Prepare techniques on your action bar, watch your health and mana, and choose equipment for the challenges ahead. Weapons, armor, spell power and resistances give you more to consider than a single item level. Healing and protection matter alongside damage.
Check the requirements shown in your spellbook when a technique is unavailable. A stronger enemy can call for more training, better supplies or a different approach.
Gathering, crafting and equipment
Collect materials, craft useful supplies and compare equipment before leaving town. Crafting also connects to quest progression: an offering or potion may be part of a story, giving gathered resources a purpose beyond your backpack.
Review quest requirements before using scarce ingredients. Keep recovery supplies ready for longer trips, and inspect the bonuses on a new weapon or piece of armor before equipping it.
An atlas for exploration
Explore roads, landmarks, caverns and hidden approaches in a world with day, night and changing weather. The illustrated atlas and minimap help connect destinations to the places you have discovered.
Atlas routes use known, reachable terrain. They guide a walk through the world rather than teleporting you to a marker; exploration still matters. Quest guidance helps you understand where to go next without revealing every road at once.

Online adventures and saved characters
Tikal Sunbound is an online game with accounts and saved character progress. Meet other adventurers and use parties to explore together. An internet connection is required; there is no offline mode.
The browser game starts at tikalsunbound.com/play/. Optional Mac and Windows clients are linked on the official homepage.
Free play and optional membership
Free play has no ads, stamina restrictions or session time limits. Jade Circle is an optional membership described on the homepage, with progression and appearance benefits. Faster progression can give a temporary power advantage; free and member characters share the same level, skill and equipment limits.
Check the current membership information for availability. Purchase options are separate from starting the free browser game.
The backpack stays unlimited for everyone. Free players can use 20 distinct item types of shared city storage and save two equipment and action presets per character. Jade Circle and its 72-hour preview raise those limits to 100 types and eight presets. A paid membership, beyond the preview, lets each character buy one home for 250 gold, place up to 24 decorations and recall to the home city. Free players can visit an active home when its owner permits it.
